spec package distros
maxminddb.spec libmaxminddb 1.12.2 el8, el10

Installs to /usr (/usr/lib). Tag: maxminddb/1.12.2-1.

Changes from the legacy specs

  • debuginfo paths in %files built from %{version}-%{release}.%{_arch} (were hardcoded -.el8 / -.el10, the only el8/el10 difference besides the next point).
  • libmaxminddb.la is listed on el8 only (el10 doesn't install it).

%install runs sudo ldconfig, so the build user needs sudo.
